Dental Technology in Sarasota, FL

We can provide more comfortable and efficient treatment with this dental technology and our dental tools:

Airflow® Cleaning System

We utilize the EMS Air Flow Cleaning system for gentler, faster cleaning of the teeth and gingivae (gums). A directed spray of air, RO water, and glycine crystals are directed to the area to remove biofilm, plaque, and stains. We then use Piezon energized tips to remove calculus, also known as tartar.

This two-phase cleaning procedure is surprisingly efficient and comfortable. Airflow® is especially innovative for care in cosmetic and restorative work, bridges, implants, and orthodontic appliances, like braces. Studies show that this is an improved method, and our patients prefer it.

CEREC and CAD/CAM

Our office uses traditional methods to create dental crowns and veneers. However, we also use CEREC. Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic (CEREC) is a technology that we use to provide same-day dental crowns. CEREC uses computer-aided imaging and computer-aided design (CAD/CAM).

No impressions, temporary restorations, or multiple appointments are required with CEREC. We will prepare your tooth and place your restoration in one office visit. Patients can enjoy the convenience, comfort, and results of CEREC and CAD/CAM technology. This method can also create full-mouth makeover restorations.

CBCT

Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans use cone-shaped x-ray beams to take images of the smile. CBCT machines rotate around the patient, taking hundreds of images of the teeth, mouth, jaw, neck, ears, nose, and throat. This machine only takes up to a minute to take these digital images.

Our dental office uses CBCT scans in treatment planning for patients with missing teeth, cavities, dental trauma, misaligned teeth, and TMJ problems. Unlike conventional x-rays, CBCT scans create three-dimensional images, meaning we can see the smile from many angles.

Soft-Tissue Laser

We use dental lasers to treat the soft tissues of the mouth. Dental lasers use targeted points of light and heat to cut the gum tissue. We can remove infected gum tissue and accurately contour the gums using a soft-tissue dental laser.

Laser treatments offer many benefits for our patients. Because dental lasers target tissue, they do not affect surrounding tissues that do not require treatment. The dental laser itself helps regenerate healthy tissue by stimulating collagen in the tissues themselves.

Digital X-rays

Dental x-rays are a great preventive and diagnostic tool that provides important information not visible during a routine dental exam. We use x-rays to safely and accurately check for dental problems that would otherwise go unnoticed and start your treatment as soon as possible.
